Introduction

The Media & Entertainment Special Interest Group (MESIG) meetings and the subgroup meetings are held on a regular basis contains industry topics and presentations in Film & Television, Music, Gaming, and other media.  Meetings for the MESIG are held monthly and anyone is welcome to join one or to read notes or watch the recordings of past calls.  The These meetings/calls are also open forums, so feel free to add items to the agenda by adding them to on the wiki page of an upcoming meeting or suggesting you can suggest agenda topics at the start of a call.  Click on meeting pages in the navigation area to see details about specific meetings.We look forward to your input and seeing you soon!



Get Involved 

MESIG is an open group and anyone is welcome to get involved.

New to Hyperledger? You'll need a free Linux Foundation ID (LFID) to use most of the community's tools. Here's how to get your LFID.

Good steps to get involved are:

  • Subscribe to the mailing list & introduce yourself: Visit the Media & Entertainment SIG list and click 'Join This Group'
  • Join the group's Discord chat channel: Talk directly Chat and collaborate with other group members in real time or just view the daily interactions happening across Hyperledger's growing umbrella at the Media & Entertainment SIG chat channel
  • Dial-in to an upcoming meeting: The group holds regular meetings that you are welcome to join
  • Add your name to the Directory: Help people connect with you by adding your information to the Member's Directory (this is optional)
  • Edit this wiki: Everything on the wiki is able to be edited editable so feel free to make changes & additions by logging in and clicking 'Edit'


Mission & Scope

The Media & Entertainment Special Interest Groups core mission is to inspire current and future industry participants and contributors to engage in the development of blockchain/DLT applications that will broaden industry reach and inclusivity.

The scope of the Media & Entertainment Special Interest Group is to develop applications within the Hyperledger framework of permissioned and permissionless blockchains that will augment or supplant current industry communication, cooperation, and coordination practices. In essence, tools that lubricate the "transaction wheels".

    The Media & Entertainment Special Interest Group meets monthly* on Monday's at 9:00AM Pacific (TBD) (12:00PM Eastern)Our next scheduled meeting is:  Monday, February 28, 2022 (Official Reboot date for the MESIG)
