Hyperledger Cactus Drop-in Pair Programming Session

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Feel free to drop by anytime and ask code related questions from maintainers/contributors.

Questions can be ranging anywhere from starting a contribution/initial setup questions to finalizing complex PR reviews.

It’s an informal setting where no issue is too small to be brought up: If you show up, share your screen and we figure out that a semicolon was missing and that’s why it wasn’t working, that’s a great outcome and the meeting will have worked as intended.

There’s no pressure or barrier to entry as long as it’s related to Cactus, we’ll be glad to discuss it on the call in a first come first serve ad-hoc basis.

 4. New Projects And Project Updates

New Projects
Neferti Neferti is a proposal for a project in Hyperledger labs. Re: NEFERTI
Hyperledger labs is an open source code community with a low barrier to entry. Any and all are welcome to join and contribute to the lab. The lab maintainers will be the governors. neferti plans a low-code and highly secure implementation to issue and trade NFTs, in a protocol agnostic way. neferti code will address market place utilities for issuance and trading of NFTs. neferti implementation will allow for extensibility and openness. An initial reference Hyperledger Fabric implementation is planned.
Project Updates
Hyperledger Aries

Hyperledger Aries Quarterly Highlights

  • Aries React Native mobile wallets are being deployed by various groups into the App Stores
  • New repo "aries-mediator-service" created that can be used by mobile wallet providers as an Aries Mediator to enable communication between the mobile wallet and all other Aries agent
Hyperledger Fabric Hyperledger Fabric Quarterly Highlights:
  • The project is working on a v2.5.0 release with a feature to Purge the history of private data. The feature may help organizations meet GDPR requirements with the ability to delete private data while preserving a hash of the data on the blockchain.
  • v2.5.0 is expected to be the next Long Term Support (LTS) version of Hyperledger Fabric
  • Discussion about a future Fabric v3.0 release was kicked off in January
Hyperledger Firefly

New Webinar: Hyperledger FireFly 1.0 is here!

Build full-stack Web3 apps faster with FireFly SuperNodes

Wednesday, April 13, 2022

7am PST - 10am EST - 2pm GMT - 10pm HKT, SGT

Register here

It’s no secret that building Web3 apps is hard. There are protocols to master, new constructs like tokens and smart contracts to understand, and then the challenge of integrating it all with existing systems.

That’s why our community created Hyperledger FireFly, the first open-source Supernode: a complete stack for enterprises to build and scale secure Web3 applications.

Join us as we announce that Hyperledger FireFly version 1.0 is generally available and ready for production use!

We’ll be joined by two leads from major industry blockchain consortia, Kyle Culver, Director of Emerging Technologies at Humana and Co-founder of the Synaptic Health Alliance, as well as Patrick Schmid, Vice President of the Institutes RiskStream Collaborative, to discuss how Hyperledger FireFly helps enterprises:

  • Accelerate Development: Build Web3 apps faster with a rich stack of native Web3, B2B, and integration services
  • Automate Deployment: Deploy and manage many apps on the FireFly platform from a single console
  • Run at Scale: Connect to the multi-chain and multi-protocol Web3 world on a scalable, cloud-native platform built as microservices on Kubernetes

We’ll also share a live demo showing how easy it is to get up and running on FireFly.

Before the webinar, we invite you to check out the community, explore the source code, or chat with the team on Discord. See you on April 13!
