moving towards a v1.0 release for Cactus
Recent releases: https://github.com/hyperledger/cactus/releases

  1. We have a v1.0.0-rc1 release that just came out.  Check it out if you like!
  2. A WASM PoC has been finalized, and the PR is currently waiting on approval (edit:  it has approval now, but needs to be merged).  You can see it here (https://github.com/hyperledger/cactus/pull/1463) if you like.

We have also been continuing collaborations with the other interop efforts in Hyperledger, and this is something we want to continue to emphasize.

Hyperledger Cactus Quarterly Report

Project Health

Cactus continues to build momentum and has a solid group of sustained contributors, in addition to the core Maintainers.    We have presented at several Hyperledger meetups, including the Tokyo & London meetups, which had significant turnout (>50) attendees) despite Covid / virtual setup.  We also presented at multiple sessions of the Hyperledger Member summit and solicited further interest there.  Ultimately, while we aspire to further community involvement, we see the project participation growing at a moderate and manageable pace.

Key Characteristics

Hyperledger Cactus aims to provide Decentralized, Secure and Adaptable Integration between Blockchain Networks.

Hyperledger Cactus is currently undergoing a major refactoring effort to enable the desired to-be architecture which will enable plug-in based collaborative development to increase the breadth of use cases & Ledgers supported.

For a better understanding of where Hyperledger Cactus is heading please see the Whitepaper and Design Principles below!
