Introduction

Digital representation of assets, both physical and non-physical, is one of the most important advents of blockchain technology.  This group specifically focuses on the development and implementation of tokenized assets as a part of the Hyperledger ecosystem.

Scope

This group focuses specifically on fungible and non-fungible tokens and their use as pure digital assets and digital asset representatives.

Work Products

The anticipated initial work products will include (but is not limited to):

  • Use Cases
  • Case Studies
  • Face to face working sessions
  • Webinars
  • Whitepaper (if appropriate)

Collaborators (other groups)

This working group will collaborate with other Hyperledger working groups, the TSC, Linux Foundation staff, and the project maintainers.

Given the lack of feedback here, I would suggest the authors consider raising the request for a working group as an email to the TSC mailing list, to see if others find it useful.  There are existing token functions in most of the frameworks, whereas this proposal seems to be coming from outside the community.  A great proposal would be one from existing devs who are looking to collaborate with others at Hyperledger around that existing functionality, or specific standards efforts like the Token Taxonomy Initiative.
