Eastern hemisphere call

    2. Proposed Contents
      1. TLS v1.3 - will not affect users as will negotiate down

      2. Automatically include CouchDB in v2.x upgrade step – database drop now done automatically

      3. Fabric dependency updates (use Go modules, update go dependencies, update Alpine - all good hygene

      4. (Tentative) Configure all peers as leaders by default, always get blocks from ordering service (proposed FAB-16435) - note it's just the default that changes

      5. Code refactoring for easier maintenance (bccsp, ledger)

      6. Improvements (e.g. improved error messages) and fixes

      7. Removal of BYFN from docs and Samples (keep page there for now but add text and link them to Test network and deployment guide) - really important note that BYFN is now deprecated

    1. Tour of documentation progress

    6. Small changes to work with 2.1→2.2, will test newly established translation governance process
  7. Japanese translation
    1. Kondo-san shared details of meetup next week of JWG
    2. Good participation expected
    3. Will start to contribute documentation
    4. Nihijima-san starting with 2.2 release as baseline
    5. Will start to populate i18n immediately.
    6. Full update from Japanese team on next week's call.
  8. Translation governance
    1. Guidance from Aneena and Nishijima-san always to use specific release and not master for translation
    2. Will include in documentation guidance
    3. Agree with Key Concepts as key topic to translate
    4. Agree that order of translation topics is helpful
