Project Health

Project health is unhealthy. We didn't have any activities in this quarter at all except some updates for fixing vulnerabilities. Some security issues of package dependencies categorised to high or crusial have been detected in GIthub. We probably need to do some migrations for resolving these issues but we don't have enough resources to do it.

Required Information

  1. Have you switched from master to main in all your repos? Yes
  2. Have you implemented the Common Repository Structure in all your repos? Yes

Questions/Issues for the TSC

Overall Activity in the Past Quarter

  • Updates for resolving security issues of package dependencies

Current Plans

All of following plans which we've reported in the recent quarterly reports don't have any progresses because of lack of resources.

  • Add more information on the Hyperledger Fabric network to get more insight from data
    • Endorsement Policy
    • Metrics exposed by each peer via Prometheus
  • Raise Explorer to the powerful next level Ledger Data Query Platform
    • Track historical operations for any specific state
    • Automatically analyzing schema of the ledger state
  • Continue on bug fixes, help community in configuring HLExplorer and troubleshooting
  • Integrate the additional features mentioned in the "Contributor Diversity" section into Explorer

Maintainer Diversity

No new maintainers were added. We really need the community to come forward and contribute.

Please find here the maintainers list.

Contributor Diversity

The current main contributors are from DTCC and Fujitsu. We have none of contributor in this quarter.

Additional Information

The insight chart can be found at Explorer stats for the last quarter.

  1. Note on submission date, while created 18-Dec-2021 the final "submit" button was not pressed until 27-Jan-2022 and was not visible until then.

  2. Atsushi Katada – We would be happy to help the Explorer maintainers find more contributors so that you have more resources.  Here are a couple of thoughts about what could help.

    • Submit project proposals for this year's mentorship program.  We will connect mentors who submit project proposals with mentees who will work on those projects.  The deadline for submission is March 9 and more details are at: Hyperledger Mentorship Program
    • Share with the community about what Explorer does, how people can use it and what are the ways people can help.  New contributors won't find out about Explorer if we don't talk about it.  We can help you promote Explorer to the community through meetups, blogs, social and more.

Please reach out if you have questions about these items and if you like to talk about finding contributors.

  3. Apologies for the late review! LGTM
