v0.4.x patch releases.

Overall Activity in the Past Quarter

  • Patched up CI integration tests.
  • Gradually integrated the Mentorship project contributions.
  • Upgraded the issue templates to GitHub web forms-based templates (bug report and feature request templates).
  • Smaller bug fixes.

Current Plans

  • Migrate the CI tests to GitHub Actions
  • Integrate the new Fabric peer gateway feature through a new connector, using the new SDK version.
  • Consolidate the configuration of existing Fabric connectors to provide a simpler and unified experience.
  • Move Caliper to a newer Node.JS version and update dependencies in general.
  • Increase flexibility for implementing complex benchmarks (based on the uncovered shortcoming in the previous quater)

Maintainer Diversity

  1. Attila Klenik – I see in the update a note that primary activity is coming from the maintainers and smaller contributions are coming from other community members.  If you'd be interested in bringing more contributors in to the project, let me know and we're happy to help.  There are a number of things we could do to help connect more people to Caliper contribution opportunities.

  2. Would talking to folks from the lab proposal be of help? They might have common interest in performance benchmarking/measurement. This could be a way for expanding project's scope if required and bring in additional maintainers.
