III. 2021 Planning: Goals for the DCI WG 

For reference, here is the culmination of the WG's discussion from last year, we put together a number of TSC and Governing Board Motions, some of which have been and are being implemented, others which are included in the table below as part of our goals for 2021 broken down by themes. Please review them here: Turning Recommendations into Proposed Motions for the GB and TSC for reference.

Identify Governing Board point persons to join DCI meetings and participate in our activitiesWe welcomed several new members who have jumped right into key areas (on the technical and marketing side). TSC Meetings


Decision (2/5): Keep it bite sized and purposeful. Bring proposals up as workstreams require (avoid periodic inclusion w/o objectives). Suggest DCI topic lighting talks, provide tangible recommendations, or solicit feedback on certain programs. 

Grace Hartleyis on the TSC and has agreed to be the liaison on topics of interest.  


Cultural Campaigns & Monthly themes

For example 1 March is the day of zero discrimination, , 16 November International Day for Tolerance , 3 December International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

DCI in Hyperledger technology 

Inclusive terminology in software and documentation

Brainstorm "DCI Service Offerings" and create resources and references to disseminate to the community and create resources for the Hyperledger Community. 

Our goal here is to increasing contributors in projects and diversity in projects by providing templates, guides, and tools for the to use that make the work more attractive and accessible.



Finalize Maintainer responsibilities 

David and Lindsay to socialize potential trainings and requirements identified w/ maintainer community, and gather feedback.
