Proposal 5: A task-force will be required to create a "proposal" and the TSC must approve the proposal.

The proposal should, at a minimum, include the following information:

  • Introduction/background material
  • Task to be completed
  • List of deliverables or work products
  • Time to complete (no more than 6 months)
  • Leader
  • Initial participant list
  • No labels

    Can we specify that this can be very lightweight?  It's probably not a good idea if this is too onerous.  I'd hope it could be something someone could complete quickly.

    Same thing as a WG proposal. Make sure you have a list of committed contributors (emphasis on contributors vs. lurkers) and a well defined scope.

      I'd hope these are shorter-term and more frequent than WG proposals, so I think it best if these are lightweight rather than identical to the WG proposal.  But listing the contributors and scope is essential, as you point out.
