Climate Research WG:

  • Voluntary Carbon Credit Market research project completed
  • Interviewed standard organizations, buyer, project developers, government, agencies
  • Many different project
  • Many people aim to tokenize carbon token to trade them on the exchanges
  • Hurdles: Quality of the Carbon Credits and price of creating them
  • Should the paper be published at a conference? How can Hyperledger support? Or publish the paper in a journal?

Operating System for Climate Action Project:

  • Related to Supply Chain & Transportation Emission project

  • Early this year:

    • Fabric Channel for trading data

    • Ethereum network for issuing tokens for trading

    • DAO for voting on the different criteria of carbon offsets (certify them)

    • → PoC on a small scale

  • Mid-year

    • Two mentorship programs (Pritam and Bertrand)
